Behind the Project

Hello Gals! I wanted to come in and really speak to you all about what is behind this project, how did I come up with the name, and how the name references to this project.
And its simple...did you know that a pearl is made from a speck of sand?? Something soooo insignificant has been made into some of greater value. It's one of the most beautiful things in the world!! These pearls are one of the most wanted pieces in the world! That's why they are soooo valuable. However no one really keeps in mind that it came from a piece of sand..something so small and of no value.
I don't know if you understand where I'm headed to with this but it is unbelievable how God can turn someone of no value into someone sooooo beautiful, someone of so much worth.

It is the perfect example for girls in today's world. A lot of us beaten down by influences, society, habits and such that we lose hope in our ownselves. We think God could never take someone like us, having been through so much, and turn us around. We lose faith in Him and in His grace. And in his ability to completely restore us.

And this is why I called it the Pearl Project. Because this is more than just a journal or a blogspot to rant, its a movement. Our young girls today have set their eyes on things that are NOT eternal. They've set their value on the way a boy treats them when it only takes for them to be reminded that Jesus already gave us our value on the cross. Believe young woman and receive today the value that he gave you in the cross. He finds you worthy and deserving of that and a lot more!!!
Blessings!

New Direction!

Hey Guys!
I'm back! Still been busy but I feel like I keep being pulled back to my blog. However, I want to take a whole new direction with this blog. I know this was originally a blog about fashion, beauty and so forth and I would like to keep that and maybe talk about every once in a while.
BUT!..
I feel there is just so many blogs out there with the same content. What I'm bringing forth is something a lot deeper, a lot valuable. It seems like young women now a days have lost a sense of what really matters. Yes, presentation(image) is key to how people receive your message, but what your message is saying is WAY more important than your presentation. I believe God has opened doors for me and placed in my heart to write about these things. And maybe some of my blog posts might hit home or maybe they wont. I only pray that this might be a gateway to change your life and in that same way YOU might be able to change those around you!
I would like to hear your feedback!
Thanks and much love!

The BEST exfoliator in the world!!

So a few months ago my skin went through major crisis! It was really irritated and started breaking out so I started using an all natural acne clearing gel Cleanser which only made my skin worse and broke me out even more!! Any time I would put anything on my face, it would sting and feel like it was burning off. It could be makeup or even moisturizer or anything. I was not exfoliating properly at that time so my skin surface felt rough and it felt like a I just had a layer of something on my face. It just wasn't feeling soft.
So I talked it over with a classmate and she gave me a mini facial. After that day I completely changed my skin care regimen. She recommended a scrub to get rid of my dead skin laying on the surface of my skin. That would be the first step I had to take in order to get good product penetration for the Cleanser and moisturizer and any treatment or mask I was gonna use on my face. There would be no point on putting a mask on if there was a barrier of dead skin in between. So I went out to search for this scrub that according to people did wonders! I'm a huge believer in this product and it is the Lush Ocean Salt Cleanser!!!

This cleanser looks like blue sand paste. It comes in a tub. So you would have to scoop some when it comes to apply it. It says its a Cleanser but I use it as a scrub after my Cleanser. But I make sure that when I use it, I use a mild Cleanser that day. I use it every 2 days in the morning since it can be too harsh on the skin if I use it everyday. Once I put this on, you scrub lightly on your face. Make sure youre not being rough because it can cause even more irritation on your skin. Once you've manipulated the product enough, rinse. What I like about this product is that after you rinse, the product leaves your skin hydrated and soft. It doesn't leave your skin feeling dry and with that tight-feeling. This product has quite a few interesting ingredients. It has lime and vodka. The two together give your face antibacterial effects killing bacteria. It also has sea salt which are the granules. These give the skin mechanical exfoliation unclogging pores and removing dead cells from the surface of your face. It also has Avocado butter which it is said to help protect against ultraviolet rays and to minimize fine lines. Avocado is very nutritious. That's why it is used alot on hair products and skin products as well.
So this product is well worth the price. The big tub runs for about $34.95 and it'll last for quite a few months. Or you can buy the small run for $19.95.
I believe this is the one product I will keep on my skin care routine for a loooooooooong time. :)
If you have any questions feel free to ask. Or maybe even request other reviews on certain products.
Hope this helped...yall have an amazing afternoon.
Until next time,
Sara

My New Toy!

Hey there! So almost a month a go I went to the International Spa and Esthetician Congress. Its was like a tradeshow. Skin care companies and makeup companies would set up a booth with their products. They would demo their products or equipment and this year was the first year Clarisonic was there! I was so stoked to see them there!! When I went to their booth and nice woman greeted me and started telling me more about the Clarisonic. Of course I had already heard about it as a matter fact i was planning on buying it about a week or two before the tradeshow but it was out of budget. =(
BUT...
As i was chatting it up with the Clarisonic representative she then mentioned that they were having a promotion!
The Classic Clarisonic with all the brush heads and the travel size cleansers for just......
**drumroll please**
$100!!!
i didnt even think about it twice! i ordered it right away!!!
and not only that...but it was PINK too!!

just like this!

So Ive been trying it about 2 times a week since my skin gets irritated pretty easily. I just use it every 3 days.
and I love how my skin feels after i use this!
I usually use it at night because this does a great job at cleaning your left over makeup.
Im totally in LOVE with this thing!!!
it doesnt leave my skin dry or with that tight feeling.
it is AMAZING!

I recommend it 845628947527859237 times! =)

much love,
Sara
